Service Description

A weekly forest school inspired session for Under 5's and their parent/carers at Stoke Park Woods, Bishopstoke. Join us to explore the woodland with nature play, seasonal activities, tool work, stories and more! We support children to begin to develop a connection to the natural world by experiencing it as a joyful place to play. Adults are encouraged to join in, take time to connect with other parents/carers and enjoy some restorative time in nature. Please book one place per child attending, parents/carers and accompanying babies under 12 months go free. Enter the code SIBLING at checkout to pay just £5 for attending siblings over 12 months. How to find us: You can find a location map of our site at: https://www.thewildwoodclub.co.uk/session-information Enter the woods via the main entrance on Stoke Park Road (SO50 6BW). There is a small (free) car park and additional parking on the road outside if you need it. Please consider walking if you are local and it is practical to do so. Go through the gate and take the right hand path, continue for 5ish minutes - we are on the left hand side just after the bend. Look out for the sign! The entrance to the site is through a dip and can be muddy - please wear suitable footwear and be aware if you are bringing a buggy. What to bring/wear: Sessions run in all weather except for high winds and lightning so please come prepared in suitable clothing. Layers are best as they can be easily added or removed depending on the conditions. Waterproof trousers, coats and wellies or sturdy shoes are essential. There will be hot chocolate available for the children in the colder weather and unless it is very wet we will light a fire for marshmallows or a similar light snack. Please bring any other drinks or snacks you want from home (we will have a limited amount of water for hand washing and topping up drinks if needed). Things to note: We are in a public woodland and so may have other people/dog walkers passing nearby. There are no toilet facilities in the woods, we have a camping toilet and tent available if needed. We regret that we are unable to offer refunds for non-attendance due to illness or any other circumstance. In the event that a session is cancelled by The Wildwood Club (due to safety reasons, illness or other unforeseen circumstance) a transfer of booking to a new date will be offered or a refund made.
